Our Montessori dual-language curriculum is incredibly unique; its financial needs are greater than your average school. Amigos de la Academia Sandoval raises money to bridge the gap between what Sandoval needs and what DPS provides.

Our mission is to raise money for educational purposes so that Sandoval can deliver a high quality public education to our student population. Historically, we have raised money for tuition assistance, teacher salaries, paraprofessional salaries, professional development for teachers, field trips and school supplies. During the past 10 years, Amigos has raised over $1,000,000!

Amigos de la Academia Sandoval is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization; our tax ID is 73-1627986.

Did you know that we do not receive all of the funding we need from DPS to pay for paraprofessionals in our classrooms? There is a $72,000 funding gap that we must cover to pay for our Paraprofessionals every year. Our beloved Paras are essential for our Montessori model and they help keep the student to teacher ratio low and students’ engagement high.

Alternatively, you can make a lump-sum payment. Please note that the donation is payable to our fundraising non-profit organization, Amigos de Sandoval, and is therefore tax-deductible. Our school is a wonderfully diverse community; not everyone has the financial means to pay for the school fee for their child/family and we ask that those with the means to, consider covering the cost of an additional student or family when paying for their own school fee. This can be paid via the same method.

Please note that we will have other fundraising activities throughout the year to raise the additional $58,000 that is needed to pay for Montessori teacher training and student enrichment activities. We appreciate your support of these additional fundraising activities as well!
