A Great Loss to our Community
Dear community of Sandoval,
With great regret, I must let you know that we have lost our friend Leti Teran, Community Link. Suddenly passed away Saturday morning due to a heart attack.
As many of you know, she was a generous soul with a living spirit. This woman was a force of positivity that lit up any room. She energized our community with her infinite love for our school. Most of all, however, she loved her children, Stephanie (14) and Tony (20). While trying to make sense of their world, please keep them in your prayers and thoughts.
Her death is surreal to me. It’s especially hard not being able to mourn side-by-side her loss as the community we are. To remember her, I put together a photo collage of her. As I scrolled through the photos she took to post on our school’s Facebook page, I could feel her spirit radiating through people’s smiles.
On Friday morning at 10:00 am, we will gather virtually to honor Leti’s life and the joy he gave our community. We’ll sing ′′ This Little Light of Mine ′′ in English and Spanish. We hope you and your children can learn the songs and join us.
We’ll keep you posted as we receive family information and as we prepare for the support our community may need around this loss for our school community.
