Dual language (Spanish/English) Montessori school has three part-time paraprofessional classroom positions open for the 2008-2009 school year.
1. 15 hours per week in an ECE mixed age classroom (3-5 years old)
2. 25 hours per week in an ECE mixed age classroom (3 – 5 years old)
3. 35 hours per week (1st –3rd grade)
Salary: $10.72/hour to start.
School: This
Dual Language (Spanish/English) Montessori public school, part of
Denver Public Schools, opened August 2001. Current enrollment is 450
students, ages 3-12.
Students: Population is 55% native English speaking, 45% native Spanish speaking. Parent body is very involved.
Language of Instruction:
3- and 4-year-olds: 75% native language, 25% second language
5-8 year-olds: 60% native language, 40% second language
9-12 year-olds: 50% native language, 50% second language
Requirements for Paraprofessional Positions:
Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. An Associate’s Degree or 48
college semester credit hours or a BS/BA degree or a passing score on
the WorkKeys assessment test is required. Attendance is mandatory at
scheduled program training and meetings. No previous experience
is required.
