About Montessori
Maria Montessori said, “No human being is educated by another person. He must do it himself or it will never be done. A truly educated individual continues learning long after the hours and years he spends in the classroom because a natural curiosity and love for knowledge motivate him from within.”
At Academia Ana Marie Sandoval our task is to follow the child’s own natural desire to learn. To accomplish this, the prepared environment is equipped with concrete materials in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural (including Science, Art, Music, Geography). The children choose work based on their interests and move at their own pace, by way of guidance from a trained staff. The social graces are an integral part of the day and assist the child with communication and conflict resolution.
