Enrollment Policy

The application process for this school is the same as for other magnet schools. Prospective students apply before the January deadline. Applications include: birth certificate, proof of residence, and (if applying for a scholarship) copy of W2 Form or past 3 months of paycheck stubs from all individuals living in the home who are employed. A lottery determines acceptance. Priority is given to students residing in Area 1 (attendance areas for schools: Bryant Webster, Smedley, Valdez, Columbian). If there are slots available after this process, students in Area 2 and then other applicants outside these areas are admitted.

Projected Enrollment

Each school year, another grade will be added as children move from one level to the next (grade 5 will be added in 2006-07). The school will eventually house approximately 500 students from 3 years to 11 years (6th grade).

Choice Enrollment Application Process

On site choice enrollment takes place at Academia Ana Marie Sandoval, 3655 Wyandot Street, Denver, CO 80211, in January for the upcoming school year. Bring proof of Denver residence as well as your child’s birth certificate. A lottery process is used to select applicants.

To apply for our primary program, your child must be three years of age by October 1 of the current school year. Children up to six years of age by October 1 of the current school year may also apply.
